After 24 years of service, Tamara retired as a Lieutenant from the Johnson County, Kansas Sheriff’s Office. She dedicated eight years to the Johnson County Criminalistics Laboratory within the Crime Investigations Unit, where she earned her International Association for Identification Certification as a Senior Crime Scene Analyst. Tamara was involved with the Johnson County Officer Involved Investigation Team and contributed to several Metro Squad homicide investigations.

Additionally, she served as a Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC) instructor for Crime Scene Investigation for seven years. She has a particular passion for shooting reconstruction and photography.

Tamara holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Grantham. Tamara now enjoys spending time with her collection of pets, including horses, dogs, cats, and fish. She also loves photographing her travel experiences with her husband and friends.

Additionally, Tamara is a licensed Part 107 commercial drone pilot. She continues developing skills related to search and rescue and using drones related to crime scenes.
