Rachael Draaisma Presents Calming Signals
Location:
Lone Guardian LLC
19981 K Road
Holton, KS 66436, USA
Cost to Attend: See registration
Horses communicate continuously with their environment through body language and signals. These signals are obvious when horses interact and communicate with each other, but can sometimes be so subtle that we humans don’t always notice them, which is such a shame, because your horse is trying to communicate something to you. “Through this course, you will be able to recognize both calming signals and stress signals. This will help you immensely in both your horse’s handling and training!”

Rachael Draaisma Presents ScentWork
Location:
Lone Guardian LLC
19981 K Road
Holton, KS 66436, USA
Cost to Attend: See registration
Scentwork is a new discipline in the field of horse and handler work, and expert/author Rachaël Draaisma equips the reader with the information to put this technique into practice. As well as theoretical background on the horse's nose and biomechanics, Draaisma discusses how scentwork improves the horse’s learning, development, socialisation, and bond with the handler. Those attending will learn how to have their horse explore their environment, participate in scentwork games, and follow a footstep track to find a missing person or food bag.

Easily accessible for anybody working with horses at any level, scentwork can be done in small areas as well as in larger spaces on various surfaces. Whether veterinarian, behaviourist, trainer, animal-assisted therapist, equine physiotherapist, osteopath, or interested horse owner, this book promises to bring both you and the horse enormous benefits, strengthening the human-animal bond.
